I made this quilt using very lightweight batting; it's a very good weight for summer, very thin.  37" square, it's made with a mix of cotton and poly/cotton blend squares in ginghams and solids, and the backing is 100% cotton yellow gingham.  Machine-quilted.  Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, tumble dry low or drip-dry (because of the lack of bulk, it should dry fairly quickly).

Keeping the same color scheme, more or less, this granny square afghan measures 32" square.
It's made from acrylic yarn, and should be machine washed on gentle cycle; tumble dry low.

I like granny squares.  They remind me of my granny!  Corny, I know, but she taught me how to crochet and I loved her a  bunch.
This one is made with three acrylic yarns, two solid and one variegated.  I think they go really well together.  Finished with a scalloped edge.
