2-1/2 c walnuts (or other nuts, I've made it with almonds and also mixed nuts....use the unsalted ones.)
1 t cinnamon
1 t salt
1 t vanilla
Boil water, sugar, cinnamon and salt, cook to the soft ball stage (when you can drop a little in cold water and then pick it up without it dripping). Remove from heat, add vanilla and nuts and stir. Spread on waxed paper, let cool one hour.
